Dr. Eva Chan is the Founding Chairman and Fellow Member of Hong Kong Investor Relations Association. She is the Head of Investor Relations of C C Land Holdings Limited (stock code: 1224). She has more than 25 years’ of working experience and was the CFOs and company secretaries of various listed companies in Hong Kong. She is mainly responsible for formulating the IR strategies for the company and conduct meetings with investors and fund managers all over the world. She also leads a number of corporate finance exercises and corporate restructuring activities.
Dr. Chan is an independent Non-Executive Director of Capital Environment Holdings Limited (stock code: 3989) and is appointed as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Accounting and Finance of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University since 2012.
Dr. Chan graduated from City University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Art in Accounting. She then earned her MBA degree from the University of Nottingham. She also obtained a DBA degree from the Polytechnic University of Hong Kong. Dr. Chan is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS) and The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. She is also a fellow member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Stanley is the co-founder & CEO of Farseer, an award winning (Big Data/A.I. champions for “2018 HKX”, “2018 HKTDC Startup Express” & “2018 B4B Challenge”) proprietary big data/A.I. cloud that combines text analytics & search technology to extract real time financial related intelligence according to clients’ criteria & output/alerts format, with user-defined sentimental weightings, with 24/7 web & apps access, to significantly reduce, digitize & automate research effort.
Data/A.I. technology cooperation Farseer has been working along include Caixin, the HK Trade Development Council & the Tsinghua University etc. Farseer is also the 1st Asia-focused FinTech startup got admitted to the Alibaba Sensetime “HK AI Lab” at The HKSTP & the 1st HK team got admitted to the Tsinghua PBCSF (清华五道口) Global Entrepreneurship Program.
Before that, Stanley founded & sold a cash equity brokerage platform primarily focused to deliver timely, bespoke & relevant on-the-ground HK/China stocks intelligence to the hedge funds universe.
Previously an equity analyst & private banker with Citigroup & UBS respectively, Stanley accumulated rich Greater China sector know-how from across primarily the consumer, TMT & automobile industries, & have close connections with technology development across China & the US.
Based in Hong Kong, Tim works closely with the Asia-based investment staff on ESG integration research and related activities, including engaging with companies on ESG issues.
Before joining Manulife Asset Management, Tim worked at Ernst & Young Hong Kong as an ESG advisory manager, where he provided ESG risk assessment consulting services to financial institutions, corporates and the government. Prior to EY, Tim worked in the Hong Kong Productivity Council as a consultant, with a focus on projects for the HKSAR Government.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Master of Science in Environmental Management from the University of Hong Kong. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Dr. Wilson Chan, serving as a member of the FSDC Mainland Opportunities Committee, is an Associate Director of MBA Programme of City University of Hong Kong after retiring from the senior positions of banking industry in the early 2000s. Dr. Chan is also hosting different programmes related to the Belt and Road Initiative or Greater Bay Area at Metroradio and RTHK.
Marcos has over 18 years of experience as an executive in technology leadership roles across Australia, ASEAN. Greater China and the US. Marcos’ focus has been working with new and emerging technologies and methodologies to solve client’s business problems.
Prior to KPMG, Marcos was IBM Global Business Services’ (GBS) Cloud Consulting Services Leader for Greater China. He and his team helps clients on their digital and cloud (private, public and hybrid) journey by leveraging big data, A.I. and APIs/micro-services while using methodologies such as Design Thinking, Agile and Garage-Factory.
Franky Chung joined Xiao-i in September 2018. As the Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for financial planning, risk management, fund raising, capital market operations and investor relations initiatives.
Franky has a diverse and rich background in the Hong Kong capital markets ecosystem having spent over 20 years working for leading international investment banks, Big Four accounting firms and the Hong Kong SAR government, during which he was involved with a myriad of IPOs, fund raising, and M&A cases. Prior to joining Xiao-i, Franky spent around 13 years working for the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing where he spearheaded the incubation and marketing of IPOs by Mainland Chinese companies in Hong Kong. Key accomplishments include working on the landmark strategic projects to launch the Shanghai- Shenzhen - Hong Kong Stock Connect and completing the revamp of the listing rules for new economy companies. In this role, he was also responsible for fostering investor relations for HKEx as a listed company in Mainland China. With an extensive business network and practical financial experience in Hong Kong and Mainland China, Franky made a significant contribution to enhance the sustainable development of a healthy ecosystem.
Franky graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with honors in Business Administration. He has also obtained the professional qualifications of CFA and CPA.
Franky also holds the post of Deputy Chairman of The Listed Companies Council of Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, and Vice President of Queen’s College Old Boys’ Association.
Sarah is the Managing Director of Taylor Bennett Heyman, a specialist executive search firm focused on investor relations, strategic communications and corporate affairs. Based in Hong Kong, she leads Taylor Bennett Heyman’s operation throughout Asia Pacific and has provided executive search and talent management solutions to many of the world’s leading companies in markets across the region. She also consults with businesses on matters pertaining to organisational design and competency framework development.
Sarah has considerable experience in the field of investor relations search and has worked with many leading listed companies in Europe and across Asia Pacific. She started her executive search career in the London, where she spent five years focused on European investor relations assignments. In 2018, Sarah was appointed to the Institute of Public Relations Board of Trustees. She is also a nominated member of Page-Up – Arthur W. Page Society’s exclusive membership and professional development organisation for senior communications executives. Since 2016, she has been an active member of the International Association of Business Communicators.
Sarah holds a Master’s in Economics and Politics from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Laws from the BPP Law School, London.
Mr. Drake is the Chief Financial Officer of Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”). He has extensive experience in corporate finance, investment banking activities such as mergers and acquisitions, financial management as well as domestic and international business development activities with the gaming industry. Prior to joining GEG, Mr. Drake held senior executive positions in Finance with gaming companies in Las Vegas.
He earned his MBA from the Simon School at the University of Rochester Bachelor of Science degree from Allegheny College.
Jonathan Drew is a Managing Director in the Infrastructure, Real Estate Group at HSBC. Jonathan graduated with an MA in Economics from Cambridge University in England and is also qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Jonathan started his banking career more than 20 years ago in London and after working in rapidly emerging Latin America and raising capital for large scale projects in the Middle East has been based in Hong Kong since 1997 witnessing first-hand the rapid growth of Asia and notably China. During this time he has been involved in successful transactions across a wide range of sectors including advising on and arranging finance for projects that produce and deliver energy (renewable and non-renewable) and transport people and resources from source to point of consumption as well as a wide range of infrastructure projects in social and education sectors with a focus on resource efficiency and sustainability. These transactions have involved supporting projects, corporates and institutions to approach various financial markets and structuring innovative and tailored products including green bonds and loans to meet the often large and specific needs of clients in markets with very distinct financial and regulatory characteristics. Jonathan is responsible for driving HSBC’s Sustainable Finance initiative across the Asia region for the banking business and also chairs the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association Green Loan Committee.
Ge Long, Finance PhD, is the founder of Gelonghui, which is the first platform for Chinese overseas investment.Ge Long is one of the first new wealth researchers, one of the first foreign capital market investors , and has 20 years investment experience in domestic and overseas cross-market. He had worked for three major fund companies in China and the largest Chinese insurance company in Hong Kong, as research and investment director respectively. The assets under his management have exceeded 100 billion yuan. He has rich experience and accumulation of insights in various domestic and overseas investment fields such as A-shares, Hong Kong stocks and US stocks.
Nasrine Ghozali is the Chief Risk Officer & Member of Strategies Group for Oasis. Ms. Ghozali re-joined Oasis in February 2016, and is based in Hong Kong, having previously been a Strategist, Convertible Bonds and Equity Derivatives Trader for Oasis between January 2006 and March 2010. Prior to re-joining Oasis, Ms. Ghozali co-founded Silver Tree, an Asia-focused event driven hedge fund, in June 2010, and served as Principal Portfolio Manager and Responsible Officer until January 2016. From August 2001 to December 2005, Ms. Ghozali was Co-Head of Convertible Bond Arbitrage at Natexis Arbitrage, Group Banques Populaires in Paris, and before that was a convertible bond trader with BNP Paribas Arbitrage in Paris between August 2000 and August 2001. Ms. Ghozali received a Master of International Finance & Economics, a Master of Economics majoring in Bank Finance Insurance, and a Bachelor of Economics majoring in Applied Economics from University Paris IX-Dauphine. Ms. Ghozali co-founded and co-leads the Board Diversity investor initiative in Hong Kong designed to raise awareness around issues of board diversity in Hong Kong, and to encourage investors to hold their investee companies accountable on matters of diversity. Ms. Ghozali also serves on the 30% Club Hong Kong chapter Steering Committee.
John Gollifer was the General Manager and an executive director of the Board of the UK’s Investor Relations Society from 2012 to 2018. Prior to this, John spent 11 years at the Singapore Exchange where he was Senior Vice President and responsible for investor relations, among other roles in corporate strategy and communications. He established and ran the IR Professionals Association of Singapore from 2006-2008, is a multiple IR award winner and he created and taught an IR course at the Singapore Management University from 2009 to 2012. Since 2016, John has lectured at the University of Liverpool in London on the Masters in Strategic Communications, IR module.
John was trained as a banker and spent 15 years in Asia and Europe in corporate finance and equity capital markets. Since joining the IR Society, which works in partnership with other IR associations, John has led IR training, including for the International Certificate in IR (ICIR), in Chile, Indonesia, Japan, Nigeria, Singapore, Thailand and Turkey, as well as in the Middle East and UK. In 2018, John was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the IR Society in recognition of his services to IR.
Angus Guthrie has over thirty years experience in the energy industry and fifteen years experience in Investor Relations. He has led the Investor Relations program at CLP Holdings Ltd in Hong Kong for over 4 years.
Originally trained as a geophysicist he worked in oil and gas exploration for a number of companies in Australia. After time in the Planning Department of Esso Australia he undertook exploration, commercial, strategy and planning roles with Boral Energy. He worked on the demerger of Boral Energy from its parent conglomerate to form Origin Energy in 2000. In 2001 he took over Investor Relations, building the program over 10 years as the market capitalization grew from around A$1 billion to A$15 billion.
In 2008 Angus was awarded Best Investor Relations Officer by Peer Vote in Australia. He joined the Board of the Australian Investor Relations Association (AIRA) in 2009 and was Chairman of AIRA for two years from 2011 to 2013. He left Origin and joined the CLP subsidiary EnergyAustralia in 2012 before moving to Hong Kong to work for CLP in April 2014.
Angus holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Adelaide. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Panel Member of the Hong Kong Investor Relations Association.
Mr. Ho Hon Ming, John, F.C.A., F.C.P.A., F.H.K.I.o.D., B.A.(Hons.), has been an Executive Director and the Company Secretary of the Company since March 2007. Mr. Ho is the chief financial officer and the company secretary of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (“HKCG”) (a listed public company and the controlling shareholder of the Company) and holds directorships in various subsidiaries of HKCG. He is a director of Changchun Gas Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Gas Corporation Ltd. and Foshan Gas Group Co., Ltd., all of which are listed public companies. Mr. Ho is a General Committee member of the Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies and a member of the Taxation Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors. Mr. Ho graduated from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom with an honorable Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Social Studies (Accounting and Finance). He completed the Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School in the United States, the Senior Executive Program offered by Harvard Business School, Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management and China Europe International Business School, and the Chief Executive Program from Singapore Institute of Management. Mr. Ho has over 25 years of experience in corporate investor relationship.
Jonathan Hu is the Executive Director and Chief Executive officer of Pengyuan International, a leading Credit Rating Agency from China. The company is a leading provider of credit rating services and research and it’s also one of the very few credit rating agencies recognized by Hong Kong Securities & Futures Commission and Chinese regulators. Jonathan is responsible for company’s overall strategy management, business operations and oversight of company’s international commercial developments.
Prior to joining Pengyuan, Jonathan was the Global Head of Business development for Dagong Global Credit Rating, a Beijing based Credit rating agency with offices in Hong Kong, Frankfurt and Milan. He’s responsible for all of Dagong’s global business development and was the first to win USD issuance rating’s mandate. Prior to Dagong, Jonathan was the Head of Asia Pacific of a Niche class litigation advisory firm Goalgroup where he advised asset owners on global class actions litigations from 2013 to 2016. Jonathan was the Head of Sales and Operations for Fitch from 2011 to 2013 and also held various positions with Bloomberg LP from 2007 to 2011.
Christine Kan is a Managing Director of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. She is the Head of Listed Issuer Regulation within the Listing Department and in this capacity, she supervises the team in charge of monitoring over 2,000 companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and their compliance with the Listing Rules. She also leads the Listed Issuer Regulation team in developing policies applicable to listed companies with a view to provide a fair, orderly and efficient market for the trading of securities and to ensure acceptable standards in investors protection.
Ms Kan first joined HKEX in 1996 and prior to taking up the current role in 2006, has worked in various capacities in the Listing Department. Previously, Ms Kan worked for international public accounting firms in Canada and Hong Kong. Ms Kan is a Canadian qualified Chartered Accountant.
Since May 2003 Patrick Kiss (born Nov. 19, 1971) is Head of Investor & Public Relations of the MDAX-company Deutsche EuroShop. The authorized representative holds a degree in business administration and is a certified investment analyst (CEFA). Before he joined Deutsche EuroShop he was senior investor relations manager at SGL Carbon (2002-2003) and head of investor relations and corporate communications at Gontard & MetallBank (2000-2002). Patrick Kiss started his career at the international communications consultancy Burson-Marsteller (1994-1999) as new media-/hightech- and investor relations-consultant.
In addition to his professional activities, he founded IR Club, the online community for investor relations professionals in 2011. He is supervisory board member at Weng Fine Art since July 2018.
Ms Angelina Kwan is currently the Chief Operating Officer of the Bitcoin Mercantile Exchange (BitMEX) and has responsibility over BitMEX’s operations around the world. She most recently established and ran the Regulatory Compliance Department and the HKEX Foundation Limited at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. Ms Kwan has extensive experience in Asia Pacific and the United States, in running businesses, business development, as well as investor and stakeholder relations. She started her career at KPMG and has held senior management, committee and/or board positions with the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong, and other multinational companies and financial institutions.
She is currently a Hong Kong Government appointed member of the Women’s Commission, the Council for Sustainable Development, the Administrative Appeals Board, and the Lord Wilson Heritage Trust, a Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of the Securities Industry Development Corporation of Malaysia, Vice Chair and Director of the The Women’s Foundation, a Director of the Hong Kong Securities Institute, a Fellow and Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, an Honorary Adjunct Professor of Finance of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and serves on a number of other Boards and Committees. She lectures frequently for various international government and regulatory organizations as well as course providers.
Ms Kwan is a Certified Public Accountant in the United States and Hong Kong and a graduate of the University of Southern California. Her MBA is from Pepperdine University and LLB from the Hong Kong University and Manchester Metropolitan University.
Lisa has extensive experience in investor communications, public relations as well as advertising and marketing. In her current role as the Director of Investor Relations of China Telecom Corporation Limited (HKEx: 728, NYSE: CHA), she formulates investor relations strategies for the company and leads a team to execute the plans which facilitate bilateral communications between management and investors. She is also responsible for media relations of the company. Prior to joining China Telecom in 2006, Lisa served in various renowned public relations and advertising agencies with sizable and multinational clients.
Lisa received top rankings in her profession recognized by a number of reputable organizations. She was awarded with “Best Investor Relations Professional” by Corporate Governance Asia for three consecutive years in 2016, 2017 and 2018, and was voted as “First Place – Best Investor Relations Professional (Overall)” in telecommunications in All-Asia Executive Team by Institutional Investor for three years in a row from 2016 to 2018. Lisa manages a team of six in China Telecom which ranked No. 1 in “Global Top 50 Awards 2017” and No. 1 in “Global Top 50 Awards 2018 – Best in Communications sector” by IR Magazine.
Lisa graduated from the University of Hong Kong with Bachelor of Finance and holds Master of Business Administration degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a CFA charterholder. She is also a member of IR Panel of Hong Kong Investor Relations Association.
Dr. LAM has over 30 years of international experience in general management, strategy consulting, corporate governance, direct investment, investment banking and fund management across the telecommunications/media/technology ("TMT"), consumer/healthcare, infrastructure/real estates, energy/resources and financial services sectors.
Dr. LAM serves on the board of directors, the advisory committee and the investment committee of a number of publicly-listed companies, investment funds and NGOs. He is Non-Executive Chairman – Hong Kong and ASEAN Region and Chief Adviser to Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets Asia, a member of the Committee on Innovation, Technology and Re-Industrialization of the HKSAR Government, Honorary Advisor to the Hong Kong Business Angel Network, Special Advisor to the Asia Pacific Real Estates Association and a member of the Court of City University of Hong Kong. In addition, he is President of the Hong Kong-ASEAN Economic Cooperation Foundation, a member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council Belt and Road Committee and Convenor of its Digital Silk Road Working Group, a member of the Board of Directors of the Pacific Basin Economic Council, as well as President of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) Sustainable Business Network (ESBN) Executive Council and Chairman of its Task Force on Banking and Finance.
Dr. LAM is a Solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong, a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators, the Hong Kong Institute of Directors and CMA Australia, and an Honorary Fellow of CPA Australia, the Hong Kong Institute of Facility Management and the University of Hong Kong School of Professional and Continuing Education.
Vanessa joined HKEX in 2015 and is currently a Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Hong Kong office. She spent the early years of her career in PricewaterhouseCoopers London where she was qualified as a Chartered Accountant before moving into the consulting industry with McKinsey & Company for another six years. Vanessa is well versed in the commodities space through her service as the Chief Financial Officer of Global Rolled Products at Alcoa and later as a Senior Research Analyst and Vice President specializing in Asian metals and mining research at Sanford C. Bernstein. Vanessa holds an MA in Mathematics & Computation from the University of Oxford.
Gary Ng retired from Lenovo Group Limited, a Fortune 500 company and a leading personal technology company in the world, since April 2018 as a corporate Vice President, and stays thereafter as an Advisor of the Company, He was responsible for the group’s global investor relations and financial communications programs and policies.
Mr. Ng has extensive experience in investor relations and financial communications. Under Mr. Ng’s leadership, Lenovo has won a number of IR awards including 2016 Top 3 Best IR Program (sell-side), 2015 Top 2 Most Honored Companies and Best IR Company (Asia Technology / Hardware) by US based Institutional Investor Magazine; 2014 & 2013 Global Top 50, 2012 Grand Prix IR Award by UK based IR Magazine; 2015 Best IR Company - Large Cap by Hong Kong Investor Relations Association (HKIRA). Gary was also recognized by the industry for his achievements, and has been consistently ranked top IR professional in Hong Kong / China, including the Best IRO – Large Cap by HKIRA in 2016; Best IR Professional (Technology / Hardware) by Institutional Investor Magazine in 2015, and a number of other IR awards. Prior to Lenovo, Mr. Ng had worked for a number of Hong Kong listed companies including VP Corporate Affairs of Esprit Holdings, Director of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations, Company Secretary of Clear Media and Guangdong Kelon during which Gary had also won a number of awards in investor relations and financial communications. Prior to that, Gary had been holding leadership roles in several communication consulting firms including Deputy MD of Gavin Anderson in Hong Kong, a renowned global financial PR consulting firm.
Mr. Ng holds a master degree in International Communications from Macquarie University, Australia, a MBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a bachelor degree of Social Science in Economics & Finance from the University of Hong Kong. He is the founder and former chairman of the Investor Relations Association Asia (The predecessor of HKIRA) and a member of IR Panel of HKIRA. Gary was also a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Secretary in HK & UK, a panel Specialist of Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications and a member of Advisory Board of Hong Kong Federation of Business Students.
Maggie Lee has over 20 years of experience with KPMG. She was located in KPMG Shenzhen office from 2004 until 2011. Maggie has extensive experience in providing audit accounting, advisory and capital market services to Hong Kong and mainland Chinese companies. She has a broad client base in a variety of sectors such as consumer and industrial market industries, property and infrastructure, education, healthcare, high-growth innovative sectors. Her clients have included a mix of state-owned enterprises, privately–owned enterprises and multinational companies.
Sandra joined HKEX in October 2015, and is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Product Execution of the Market Development Division of HKEX. Prior to joining HKEX, Sandra spent almost 10 years in Goldman Sachs Investment Banking Division in Hong Kong. She last served as Executive Director in the Consumer Retail Group, participating in the IPOs of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group, Prada, Samsonite, etc.
Sandra is passionately involved in social and diversity-related initiatives, and provides support to a wide range of NGOs and schools in Hong Kong and globally. She current serves as the Chair of the HKEX Women's Exchange, Board Member cum CFO of Time Auction (an NGO focused on youth mentorship in Hong Kong), and is part of the Enhancement Board Committee of the Hong Kong Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired as well as the Alumni Council of Phillips Academy, Andover (USA) . Sandra was awarded the American Chambers Women of Influence Young Achiever of the Year Award in 2016.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Sandra was brought up in the local school system before leaving for high school in the US and later receiving her BSc in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She is also a graduate of the Basic Cuisine and Basic Patisserie courses at Le Cordon Bleu, Sydney.
Michael Ling is the deputy company secretary for CLP Holdings Limited and oversees the day to day functions of CLP Group Corporate Secretarial and works closely with the Board of Directors of CLP Holdings and the Board Committees.
Prior to taking up this position in 2016, he was the legal counsel on the international team of CLP Group Legal Affairs for over four years. Before joining CLP, he was in the group legal function of AIA Group Ltd and was involved in the restructuring of the AIA group of companies. He also has extensive experience in corporate transactions and advisory work including public and private M&A and capital markets work in Hong Kong, London and Beijing.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University and has completed the IMD’s Applied Leadership Program and the FT Non-Executive Director Programme. He is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
Aged 62. Dr LOOK is the Chief Financial Officer and executive director of Sa Sa International Holdings Limited, and a director of certain subsidiaries of the Sa Sa Group. Dr LOOK has over 35 years of experience in local and overseas financial and general management. Prior to joining Sa Sa in March 2002, he was the Chief Financial Officer and an executive director of Tom.com Limited (renamed TOM Group Ltd.). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and received a degree of Doctor of the University honoris causa from the University of Birmingham, England. Dr LOOK is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“HKICPA”). Dr LOOK is a member of the Executive Committee and the Chairman of the e-Commerce Sub-Committee of the Hong Kong Retail Management Association, a member of the CNBC Global CFO Council, and a fellow member and a member of the Advisory Board of the Hong Kong Investor Relations Association.
Alex Lupis joined HSBC in 2010 and is Head of Global Investor Access and Head of Client Engagement Group in Asia-Pacific. He is responsible for the origination and execution of conferences, seminars, roadshows, field trips, expert events and macro research marketing for the Bank’s equity and fixed income clients globally. He also leads the client management strategy for HSBC’s Asian institutional clients, managing the delivery of the Bank’s resources to key Markets clients.
Before joining HSBC, Mr. Lupis held a similar role at Citi, where he oversaw the bank’s corporate marketing and origination for its Asian equity clients, based in Hong Kong and New York. He has 19 years of experience in the financial industry, having worked in the US and Asia. He started his career on the buy-side in Boston at Putnam Investments and Wellington Management Company. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and is a CFA charterholder.
Ian is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of the Australasian Investor Relations Association. Ian was former Global Head of Computershare Analytics, the investor relations and market intelligence arm of Computershare Ltd. Prior to this, he was a Partner at Orient Capital Pty Ltd, and prior to that the Executive Director of the Australian Investment Managers' Association. He has also held senior positions at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Westpac Banking Corporation and was an Advisor to the Hon. Alexander Downer MP.
He is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute in the United States, a fellow of Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Fellow of Chartered Secretaries Australia.
Flora Wang is head of the Investment Stewardship team for the Greater China region and is based in Hong Kong. In this role, Flora is responsible for leading the team’s efforts in company engagement and voting in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan markets on behalf of BlackRock’s clients globally. She also leads the team’s efforts in collaborating with the investment team to integrate environmental, social and governance issues into the investment processes.
Flora is a regular speaker at public forums regarding issues relating to corporate governance and sustainability. She also contributes to regulatory policy development by actively participating in public consultations as well as direct conversations with regulators. Flora represents BlackRock as a member of the Hong Kong Green Finance Association.
Flora joined BlackRock in 2014. Prior to joining BlackRock, Flora was the head of China and Taiwan Research at ISS Governance in Singapore for over four years. Flora holds a B.A Finance from Tsinghua University in Beijing and MSc Finance from Singapore Management University. Her post-graduate study focused on corporate governance. Flora is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Victoria Mio is co-Head Asia Pacific Equities and CIO China at Robeco.
She is the lead fund manager of the Chinese equities and Chinese A-Shares equities funds at Robeco. She has been part of the Hong Kong-based Asia-Pacific equities investment team since 2008. Prior to this, she spent 2 years in the emerging markets team in Robeco’s head office in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and in 2007 she started managing the Robeco Chinese Equities fund.
Victoria Mio holds various professional designations, such as Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Public Accountant (US) and a Financial Risk Manager.
Before joining Robeco in 2006, Victoria Mio worked for seven years in the US and five years in China and held senior positions in several financial institutions including JPMorgan Chase & Co, Asterion Capital LLC, and Banco Nacional Ultramarino SA. Victoria Mio started her career in 1992 and has over 20 years of experience in financial service industry.
Victoria Mio obtained an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Victoria Mio also holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Macau.
Mr. Derek Mok is the Chief Investment Officer of Fubon Convoy Asset Management(HK) Limited, a subsidiary of Taiwan’s Fubon Asset Management in Hong Kong. Before that, Derek was the Head of Asset Management and Chief Investment Officer of RHB Asset Management Limited, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of RHB Investment Bank Berhad, and Director of Investment of Haitong International Asset Management Ltd. where he was responsible for managing Mandatory Provident Funds, unit trusts and private funds. Derek was also a Portfolio Manager with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, responsible for managing the global equity portfolio exposure for the Exchange Fund. Moreover, Derek had worked in other renowned asset companies, including Guotai Junan Assets (Asia) Limited and BEA Union Investment Limited, responsible for managing equity investments for portfolios from insurance company, university and pension funds.
Derek is a CFA charterholder and holds the FRM designation. He is a CPA (Aust) and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Derek holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from the Monash University and a Master degree in Investment Management (concentration in Financial Engineering) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He also holds a Master of Arts from the Macquarie University.
Ludwig Ng holds a master degree in law from the University of Hong Kong. After receiving his early training from prestigious firms in Hong Kong and practised as a barrister, Ludwig founded ONC Lawyers with his partners in 1993. Ludwig practises mainly in the field of commercial litigation, with emphasis on corporate and partnership disputes, insolvency and restructuring. Amongst his various public services, Ludwig is an examiner of Overseas Lawyers Qualification Examination, technical committee member of the Restructuring and Insolvency Faculty of the HKICPA and member of the Law Society Insolvency Law Committee, moderator of PC Law Examination for the HKICPA. He is an editor and contributor to the book: “Reforming Law Reform” published by HKU Press, and one of the authors of Hong Kong Corporate Insolvency Manual (4th ed). He is amongst the first solicitors that obtained the Higher Rights of Audience and is selected as a leading and highly recommended lawyer by AsiaLaw Profiles and ChambersAsia in the fields of insolvency and restructuring and disputes resolution.
Fiona joined The Women’s Foundation as CEO in September 2017, combining her senior leadership experience with a passion for TWF’s mission to serve marginalised women and girls in Hong Kong. A former lawyer and Hang Seng Index company secretary, Fiona has lived in Hong Kong for nearly two decades having cultivated a career as a senior legal professional and adviser to a number of leading corporations in Hong Kong and around Asia including PCCW, AIA, AIG, Aviva, Chow Tai Fook Jewellery as well as SMEs, start ups and non-profit organisations.
She is the Co-Founder of Room to Read's Hong Kong Chapter and helped establish the Regional Programme office in New Delhi, India. She is Deputy Chair of the Australian Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong & Macau and was Founder and Chair of its Women in Business Network. She is also is a Non- Executive Director of Aesop Hong Kong and Taiwan. In 2015, Fiona won the People’s Choice Award for the Advancement of Women in Business at the Austcham-Westpac Australia China Business Awards.
Fiona holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney and is a Fellow (FCIS) of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, Australia and a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and sits on AICD’s Hong Kong Committee.
Conor O’Mara is a managing director at Jefferies and is head of Technology Specialist Sales. He has 24 years of both buy side and sell side experience investing in technology stocks across roles spanning long only and hedge fund management, research analyst and proprietary trading.
He started his career as a global PM at RCM In London from 1994-2000. In 2000 he left to found Europe’s first independent research firm, Arete Research, where he covered internet, software and CE stocks. In 2005 he left Arete to set up an Asian focused technology hedge fund at HSBC, moving from London to Hong Kong in 2006. He spent the next 7 years as a market neutral technology hedge fund manager at HSBC, Balyasny and Morgan Stanley SIG. In 2011 he left the buy side to join Jefferies as a specialist sales person focusing on technology. His technology daily goes to over 1,300 people around the world and he is involved in developing Jefferies’ expert series of speakers in conjunction with the corporate access team.
In addition to his day job at Jefferies, Conor is also a former Chairman of the Irish Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong, a member of the chamber’s fintech group and is the local representative of Irish Funds, the association that represents all the member firms involved in the fund management industry in Ireland, most of whom have operations in Hong Kong. Given over 80% of assets under management in Hong Kong are European UCITS products domiciled in Ireland and Luxembourg, this role has given him close relationships with HKEX and other industry bodies in the Hong Kong fund management industry.
Conor holds a first class honors degree in international marketing and languages from Dublin City University and an MSc in Finance from London Business School.
Bruce Pang joined HSBC in 2016 as a China equity strategist. He worked as an equity analyst for a leading Chinese brokerage since 2012 and covered several sectors, including Hong Kong and China Property, Basic Materials, Metals and Mining, Logistics, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare. He holds a PhD degree in Economics from the University of Hong Kong, a MA degree in Sociology from the University of Chicago, a MSc degree in Economics from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Bruce served as an audit associate at one of the Big Four accounting firms after graduated from Renmin University of China with a Bachelor of Economics degree in Finance.
Hugh Pye is Head of Investor Relations, Asia-Pacific for HSBC Holdings plc. He joined HSBC in June 2009 after twenty years in Equity Research, covering the Bank sector.
During this period he was Head of European Banks research for BNP Paribas, Global Head of Banks Research for Robert Fleming Securities, and Head of European Banks Research for BZW. In his earlier career, Hugh worked for Barclays Bank International in the UK, USA and Hong Kong.
Hugh has a Bachelor's degree with Honours in Geography from University College London in the UK. He has three children and lives in Hong Kong.
Edward Soon is the Head of Corporate Sales for Ipreo by IHS Markit across the APAC region. He is responsible for leading the team to grow and developing the Ipreo by IHS Markit business amongst corporate clients across the region.
Prior to joining Ipreo by IHS Markit, Edward held senior leadership positions in Thomson Reuters, Computershare and Georgeson, most recently heading the APAC Corporates business of Thomson Reuters. With over 20 years of experience in investor relations and corporate governance advisory, Edward has held general management roles spanning product management, strategic business development and sales.
Edward holds Master of Laws from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the same institution.
In July 2018, Marcus became the Chief Revenue Officer and Member of the Management Board of EQS Group AG. In this role he is responsible for global clients, revenues and marketing.
Marcus joined EQS Group in 2007 and has taken a leading role in its international expansion. From 2009 to 2012, he was based in Moscow, starting and developing the Group’s Russian operations. This was followed by a 4-year chapter in Asia in a similar role. Since 2017 Marcus is based in the Group’s headquarters in Munich, Germany, but a regulator visitor to EQS’ global offices including Hong Kong.
Megan Tang, Senior Director, heads the Post-IPO team of the SFC’s Corporate Finance Division. Ms. Tang joined the SFC after almost two decades in private legal practice. Ms. Tang was previously a partner at a global law firm and was recognized as a leading lawyer by Chambers Asia-Pacific for both equity and debt capital markets work.
Dr Tse Kwok Leung has been serving the banking sector in Hong Kong for over 20 years, mainly responsible for economic research, drafting reports and speeches for executives. With years of economic research experience, he has authored or presided over a lot of research on various economic and financial issues for decision making. Dr. Tse is a founding member of Chinese Association of Hong Kong & Macau Studies. He has been servicing The Chinese Banks’s Association for years, and currently services as the leader of Association’s academic committee. Dr Tse is also a member of the International Affair Committee, The Federation of Hong Kong Industries. He also served the Central Policy Unit of The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as a Part-Time Member and a member of the CPU Pan-Pearl River Delta for years. Dr Tse currently serves as head of Policy and Economic Research at Bank of China (Hong Kong).
Before joining the legal profession, Dominic has worked in the banking sector and as well as in the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). Dominic’s practice focuses on advising clients on matters relating to anti-corruption, white-collar crime, law enforcement, regulatory and compliance matters in Hong Kong, including advice on anti-money laundering. He also handles cases involving corporate litigation, shareholders’ disputes and insolvency matters, defamation cases, domestic and international arbitration cases, cybersecurity, data security and privacy law issues, competition law matters, e-Discovery and forensic investigation issues as well as property litigation.
Ms. Wang Yixuan is now the Head of HK Subsidiary of Shenzhen Stock Exchange. She previously served as Deputy Director of Qianhai Business Team, Deputy Director of Research Institute since she joined Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2001.
Ms. Wang has over 20 years of working experience in the Banking and Securities Sector. Before joining Shenzhen Stock Exchange, she worked as Deputy Chief of Statistics and Research Division at PBOC Beijing Branch. Prior to that, she was Deputy Chief, Balance of Payments Division of SAFE Beijing Branch.
Ms. Wang graduated from Tsinghua University with Bachelor’s Degree in E&E in 1991. She received her Master’s Degree and Doctoral Degree in Finance from the Gradate School of People’s Bank of China (Wu Dao Kou) in 1994 and 2001, respectively.
Ms. Wong is the Chief Executive Officer of Champion Real Estate Investment Trust, overseeing its strategic development as well as asset management and enhancement. She also spearheads the team to seek for growth opportunities, formulate acquisition and investment strategies and monitor the capital structure of the Trust, including the planning and overseeing of capital raising activities from the market.
Ms. Wong has over 15 years’ experience in local and overseas financial industry. Prior to joining the Trust, she worked at Citigroup and J.P. Morgan's investment banking division to offer strategic advices to a number of blue chip corporates and Hong Kong real estate companies. She has also executed numerous landmark IPOs, capital markets fund-raisings and strategic M&A transactions.
Ms. Wong graduated from University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) - Ross School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She was honoured with the title of Asia Best CEO by Corporate Governance Asia. She is the Chairperson of Asia Pacific Real Estate Association Hong Kong chapter and a Fellow member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Dr. Kelvin Wong, JP DBA FHKIoD, is an Executive Director, a Deputy Managing Director and the Chairman of Corporate Governance Committee of COSCO SHIPPING Ports Limited. He is also an Independent Non-executive Director of seven listed companies in Hong Kong.
Dr. Wong is the immediate past Chairman and was the Chairman of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors (2009-2014), a member of Financial Reporting Council and a member of Operations Review Committee of Independent Commission Against Corruption. He was also a Non-Executive Director of Securities and Futures Commission (2012-2018), the Chairman of Investor Education Centre (2017-2018), a member of Main Board and GEM Listing Committees of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (2007-2013) and a member of Standing Committee on Company Law Reform (2010-2016).
Dr. Wong obtained his Master of Business Administration degree from Andrews University in Michigan, the USA in 1992 and his Doctor of Business Administration degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2007.
Harold Woo is ex-Senior Advisor for Investor & Partner Relations in CapitaLand Limited. He joined CapitaLand in 2003 and relinquished his position as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations in June 2015. Post retirement from CapitaLand in May 2017, he assumed a senior advisory role at WeR1 Consultants Pte Ltd, a boutique investor relations, corporate strategy and media communications company, from September 2017 till October 2018.
He has almost 20 years of stockbroking experience in institutional sales, securities trading and investment research. From 1990 to 1999, he was with Vickers Ballas & Co Pte Ltd, progressing from Director of Institutional Sales to Global Head of Institutional Sales. Prior to 1990, he was Associate Director at James Capel Far East Limited, an international stockbroker. From 1981 to 1985, he was research manager at Ong & Co Pte Ltd.
Harold garnered the Best IRO award in IR Magazine – South East Asia Awards in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2011. In 2012, he was named as one of 25 Best IROs of last 25 years by IR Magazine. In December 2015, he was bestowed a Lifetime Achievement Award by IR Magazine. He is on the judging panels for IR Magazine Awards 2017 and 2018 - South East Asia and Greater China self-nomination categories.
He served as the Honorary Secretary of the Securities Investors Association (Singapore) (SIAS) from 2015 - 2017. Harold is on the faculty for the Listed Entity Director Programme conducted by the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID). He received his Master of Science in Management Science from Imperial College, University of London.
Tae Seok Clement Yoo serves as Managing Director in Global Client Development department in Market Development Division. His department is responsible for covering relationships and business development initiatives engagement of institutional clients across exchange participants, buy-side investors and custody banks.
Since joining HKEx in 2011, he was co-head of platform development & strategy and head of product & index development in Stock Connect, OTC Clear, BRICS exchanges alliance and London Metal Exchange (LME) acquisition. Yoo has over 21 years of industry experience with 14 years at CME Group in institutional business development and clearing risk management initiatives in Chicago and Asia. Prior to CME, he worked at Sumitomo Mitsui Bank (Sakura Dellsher, Inc.) and at Goldman Sachs & Co. in Chicago.
Yoo holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, MBA from the Stuart School of Business at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and GSAL program at the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business. He has been named an inventor on nine U.S. patents on derivatives risk management applications.
Joe Zhang, 55, is the chairman of China Smartpay (8325.hk) and a director of several other companies including Fuson International (656.hk), Logan Property (3380.hk) and Luye Pharmaceuticals (2186.hk). When he was the head of China research at UBS, he was rated “best China analyst” in five consecutive years (2001-05). He was COO at Shenzhen Investment (604.hk) in 2006-08. He worked at the People’s Bank of China in the 1980s. He taught finance at the University of Canberra in 1991-94.
